Is ESPN and the rest of the nation serious with this idea that the Seattle "12th Man" is going to stop Tom Brady?

I guess I should have mentioned this in my Pats vs. Seahawks preview but I really didn’t think it was that important. But for the past 3 days all I hear on WEEI or ESPN or any other sports media station is how the Seattle crowd is going to disrupt Tom Brady and the Patriots offense and basically that’s why this game is going to be as close as Vegas is predicting (4 point spread). All I have to say to that idea is…are you fucking kidding me??

This isn’t some inexperienced quarterback we are talking about here. This isn’t Andrew Luck or RG3 or even someone good like Matt Ryan, this is Tom Brady we are talking about. Let’s go through his credentials shall we? Won an Orange Bowl while at Michigan in 1999, won a Super Bowl in his first year as a starting quarterback in the NFL, has since added 2 more Super Bowl titles and 2 other Super Bowl appearances. He is a 2-time Super Bowl MVP, 7-time Pro-Bowler, 2-time AP NFL MVP, Comeback Player of The Year, has led a team to a 16-0 record and has thrown 50 TDs in a year. Not to even mention his other stunning accomplishments such as being a tremendous Uggs Model and Saturday Night Live Host. And the nation as a whole thinks that the crowd at CenturyLink Field in Seattle is going to shut him down?

This guy has ice water running through his veins; literally nothing affects him (except maybe the Giants pass rush…fuck I can’t believe I just wrote that). He’s been into some of the nation’s toughest and “loudest” stadiums and won as a college QB, he’s been to Pittsburgh multiple times and won AFC Championships, he’s beaten the “greatest show on turf” St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl when he was a 14 point underdog, but they think a little bit of noise is going to shut him down? The Seahawks defense has no idea what’s about to hit them. They haven’t seen anything like what’s going to line up against them tomorrow. Yea it may be loud but as soon as Brady and Co. start driving down the field gaining first down after first down, that crowd will disappear. Anyone can have a wild and raucous crowd when you’re stopping teams on a goal line stands and winning ball games. Let’s see how “loud and influential” the Seattle “12th Man” is when they’re down by 3 TD.

P.S. – I am going to look so fucking stupid if the Pat’s lose tomorrow.
